Brooks’ Nursery

Welcome to Brooks’ nursery! The room was already painted this color and we LOVED it so we didn’t change it! We started Brooks’ nursery out with the book wall! I LOVE reading and children’s books are some of my favorites so I knew I wanted this to be a crucial part of his nursery! I saw some ideas on Pinterest using the IKEA Spice Racks for bookshelves so I showed my hubby and thought about how I wanted to arrange them in our space! The storage bench I loved as a hangout place but also for added storage for books and toys as Brooks grows!

I found the alphabet picture at a local consignment shop and had to have it!!! Then we made his name sign out of old pallet wood! That’s also what we used to share what his name was going to be at the baby shower!

The crib bedding was the first thing we purchased for Brooks even before we found out if he was going to be a boy or a girl! We knew we wanted to do the nursery in an animal theme and when I saw it I knew it was perfect! The crib and dresser we purchased new because we wanted an option that would grow with him and the bed converts from crib to toddler to a full size bed.

The pictures, decals, and decorations were the finishing touches! The elephant with the flower was the first picture we purchased, it instantly brought a smile to my face when I saw it in the store and every time I see it now it makes me smile! The other pictures I found throughout my pregnancy as we were out and about. The giraffe picture above the glider was a gift from my mom, she had a client of hers paint it for us and add the scripture to it! The glider was a gift from my parents and has been an awesome place for us to hang out, rock, and nap! The globe and adventure sign was added as my hubby and I LOVE exploring and going new places! We knew we wanted Brooks to be able to explore with us too! We also know he will be an adventure all on his own, raising him and watching him grow!
