This week we are sharing books we are currently reading and enjoying:

Jennie is reading The Power of Showing Up and says it is amazing and has been really eye opening! It’s about being present for your children even through the tough times! That perfection isn’t needed but being there and present is powerful!

Chloe has only read the part of Voice Lessons that applies to toddlers and babies. But, she is really looking forward to reading the rest as Lucian grows. So far, the info has been convicting, interesting and thought-provoking.

Jennie is truly loving The Magic of Motherhood And it was free on kindle app!!! It’s very encouraging and an easy read!

Chloe is reading this one too. So far, it is a light, easy and affirming read!
We both really enjoy reading parenting books. One really great piece of advice I (Chloe) received while I was pregnant was that you will get so much conflicting advice from so many places. Listen to and read it all and then take what you think applies and works for your family and throw out the rest. This has really helped me in a lot of situations. It also has shown me that even though everyone parents so differently, you can absolutely learn something from friends, authors and experts who think really differently than you.
So, what is next on the reading list?
For Jennie: Big Magic: How to Live a Creative Life, and Let Go of Your Fear
For Chloe: The Montessori Toddler: A Parent’s Guide to Raising a Curious and Responsible Human Being
