This Week’s Favorites:

This week we are highlighting some recent activities that we have really enjoyed with the boys!

We LOVE Patterson Farms, we went Strawberry picking there and it is GREAT for everyday playing too! Brooks LOVES the tractor swings!

We have been going to Birkdale Buds at Birkdale Village in Huntersville, NC on Wednesdays at 10:30 and it has been so fun! They do so many different activities for the little ones but this was definitely a favorite when we planted succulents.

Making these seed balls and gifting them were so much FUN! Brooks really enjoyed making them and they were super easy! My flowers have already started sprouting!

Lu loved this activity that I found on the @mothercould Instagram page. This will become a staple at our house for sure! Brooks did this chalk paint after Chloe and Lu did it and shared this reel and he loves it! He keeps asking to paint!

Lucian loved Okra Printing. He keeps talking about Ohk-ruh! He enjoys stamping and always enjoys any use of paint.

We recently tried Flower Pounding. I think most little ones would agree that using real tools is a blast. So, it was not a surprise that Lu loved this activity. I think we will try this again on some small canvas bags! WE found this idea on @theartfulparent Instagram page!

This week, we took Lu strawberry picking at a local farm, Pinebreeze Farm.
Lance got to go with us over his lunch break, which made it even more special. This will definitely be a yearly activity for us. Lu was great at finding and picking the strawberries. Of course, he was even better at eating them! We can’t wait to try out a new recipe with our strawberry yield!

Lucian is still going strong on raising his plants from Easter. He loves “shooting” them with the spray bottle and checking on his gnome. He never misses a day!

Last week, on vacation, we got a chance to watch trains go by in Irondale. It is a tiny town with a a train watching spot right in the middle of Main Street. We stayed at a great little AirBNB a block from downtown, so Lucian got a lot of train watching in!
