ClimbingTriangles

A Pikler triangle is a climbing toy for children. The name comes from Dr. Emmi Pikler, a Hungarian pediatrician. Dr. Pikler developed a child centered approach based on a kind and respectful relationship between an adult and infant, through delicate care moments, a simply paced motor development, free movement and continual play.  Dr. Pikler believed in the child’s inherent intelligence to guide their own motor development.

Climbers are great for gross motor development and to offer challenges physically. It encourages little ones to explore what their bodies are capable of encouraging self-confidence, curiosity, grip strength, agility and concentration.

It also encourages active imagination with imaginative play. There are so many ways for little ones to play with these and make their own fun and games!

We got together to build the Climbing Triangles this past weekend! Not only was it an awesome time for us to get together, the boys had so much fun together too! They LOVED trying out their new climbers too!

Both of them immediately began to climb as soon as one of the climbing Triangles was completed. Both Brooks (9 months) and Lucian (1 year) started climbing up the rungs, as it was second nature to them!

They really enjoy it and have been playing on it since! Inside and outside, to climb under as a tunnel, climbing over the top, sliding down, and as a fort! There are so many ways to play and with this foldable style it is easy to store too! Want a Climbing Triangle for your little climber? We would LOVE to make one of these for you little one!
